Black and white is a favorite color combination, especially when wanting to add a more modern appeal to your home. For example a black corner cabinet set in a kitchen with white countertops and black cupboards adds to the overall sharp lines and features of the room. A black and white combination not only gives a very modern feel to a room but also gives an overall impression of organization and neatness. If you are concerned that the black and white combination is too severe you can lighten up the room considerably by adding a touch of color here and there. A nice vase with brilliantly colored artificial flowers sitting on top of the black corner cabinet will give an immediate, simple boost of color. A black corner cabinet can be a great addition to any room, particularly one with either a black and white color scheme or brick walls. In order to soften the corner, make good use of color and lighting.
